Testimonials

Emily R.

“Before I found this community, I used to have panic attacks almost every week, especially before tests or presentations. I felt like no one at school understood what I was going through. Joining the live forum changed everything for me. I met a therapist who explained what anxiety really is and gave me tools to manage it in the moment. I also connected with another 8th grader across the country who had gone through something similar. We started a weekly peer support group at my school because of what I learned here. This year, I ran for class president and won. I couldn’t have imagined that a year ago."

"Growing up, I thought talking about mental health meant you were weak, especially for guys. After my older brother passed away, I shut down emotionally. My grades dropped, and I stopped hanging out with friends. A teacher shared a link to this nonprofit’s live forum, and I joined one session just to listen. I didn’t expect to speak, but hearing other teens talk about grief gave me the courage to open up. I ended up joining a grief support subgroup and started journaling and talking with a counselor I met through the forum. This support helped me apply to college with an essay about emotional resilience, something I used to think I didn’t have."

“My daughter Ava was diagnosed with selective mutism. She hadn’t spoken in class for over a year. I felt helpless until I discovered this nonprofit’s live parent-child support forum. The sessions allowed Ava to interact with a licensed child psychologist through a chat format, no pressure to speak out loud. Gradually, she began using her voice in one-on-one calls. One forum session even simulated a classroom situation, and with guidance, Ava participated by saying a few words. That small moment changed everything. Two months later, she raised her hand in class for the first time. I cried tears of joy. This community gave our family hope, and real progress.”
